Acceptable Use Policy
Indian Matchmaking Service (IMMS), available at imms.app, is operated by SUJAVI SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS LTD, company number 13136601.
Registered office: 1 Beauchamp Court, 10 Victors Way, Barnet, Hertfordshire, England, EN5 5TZ.
This policy sets out the conduct required when using our matchmaking platform, submitting information or photographs, communicating through our services, or attending IMMS events.
Eligibility and purpose
IMMS is for adults aged 21 or over seeking a genuine relationship with the intention of marriage.
You must provide accurate information about yourself, meet our verification requirements and participate voluntarily. A parent or family member must not pressure someone to join, communicate with a prospective match or enter a relationship or marriage.
People under 21 must not create a matchmaking profile or participate as matchmaking attendees at IMMS events.
Profile verification
Before approving a profile, we carry out manual checks that include:
- Verification of the email address and mobile number.
- A live video call with the person represented by the profile.
- Inspection of identification during the video call to check identity and age.
- Review of the profile information and the person’s willingness to participate.
We may refuse approval or request further clarification where information is inconsistent or we cannot complete the checks satisfactorily.
Verification reflects the checks performed. It is not a criminal background check or a guarantee of a person’s character, intentions, relationship status or future conduct.
You must not submit false or altered identification, impersonate another person or attempt to bypass verification.
Profiles created by parents or family members
A parent or family member may assist in creating a profile, but the adult represented by that profile must personally agree to participate.
We speak directly with the adult during a live call to confirm their interest and obtain their consent before approving the profile.
If the adult does not wish to participate or does not give consent, we remove the profile immediately.
Family involvement does not replace the adult’s own decisions about introductions, communication or marriage. Consent can be withdrawn by contacting admin@imms.app.
Accurate information and authorized content
You must provide truthful information and use only photographs and other content you are entitled to share.
You must not:
- Create a false profile or impersonate another person.
- Use stolen, misleading or manipulated photographs to misrepresent identity.
- Publish someone’s profile or personal information without their permission.
- Submit false information or documents to obtain approval.
- Share another member’s private information or photographs without permission.
Trafficking, exploitation and abuse
Human trafficking, including sexual exploitation, is strictly prohibited.
You must not use IMMS to facilitate, promote, assist, encourage or benefit from:
- Human trafficking, forced labour or sexual exploitation.
- Forced marriage, coercion or non-consensual relationships.
- Grooming, sexual abuse or exploitation.
- Aiding, abetting or encouraging abuse.
- Threats, intimidation, blackmail or control over another person.
IMMS must not be used to arrange commercial sexual services, prostitution, escort services or transactions involving the purchase or sale of a person.
Child safety
Child sexual abuse material and any conduct involving the sexual abuse, grooming or exploitation of a child are strictly prohibited.
You must not upload, request, create, distribute, link to or promote child sexual abuse material, including artificially generated material depicting child sexual abuse.
If you suspect child abuse or encounter suspected child sexual abuse material, report the concern immediately. Do not download, copy, forward or attach the material to an email. Provide the relevant profile or content identifiers instead.
Sexual content and privacy violations
You must not upload or share:
- Pornography or sexually explicit content.
- Intimate images shared without the depicted person’s consent.
- Sexualized manipulated images of another person without consent.
- Threats to publish intimate images or private information.
You must not pressure another person to provide intimate images, money, contact details or access to private accounts.
Fraud and unlawful activity
You must not use IMMS for fraud, financial exploitation, extortion, money laundering or any other illegal activity.
This includes deceptive requests for money, fraudulent investment offers, fabricated emergencies, identity theft and attempts to obtain payment or account credentials.
Commercial advertising, spam and unauthorized solicitation of members are prohibited.
Respectful conduct and events
Treat members, staff and event attendees respectfully.
Harassment, stalking, threats, violence, discriminatory abuse and unwanted sexual conduct are prohibited. Respect a person’s refusal, withdrawal of consent or decision to stop communicating.
At IMMS events, follow organizer instructions and do not photograph, record or share identifiable images of others without appropriate permission.
We may refuse admission or remove a participant where necessary to address a safety concern or policy violation.
Reporting concerns
Report suspected violations to admin@imms.app. Include the relevant profile ID or event details, a description of the concern and relevant dates.
You do not need an IMMS account to report a concern.
For serious safety concerns and information about our work with law enforcement, see our Law Enforcement and Safety Reporting page at:
https://imms.app/law-enforcement
The inbox is checked regularly, including weekends. It is not a continuously monitored emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service without waiting for an IMMS response.
Enforcement
Depending on the circumstances, we may request clarification or repeat verification, refuse profile approval, remove content, hide a profile, restrict access, suspend or terminate an account, or restrict event participation.
We may take protective action while a report is assessed. A report alone does not establish that a violation occurred.
Suspected serious offences or safeguarding concerns are escalated under our incident procedure. Relevant information may be preserved or disclosed to appropriate authorities where lawful.
If you believe an enforcement decision was made in error, email admin@imms.app with the relevant profile ID, the decision being challenged and your reasons for requesting a review.
We may limit the information provided about an investigation to protect safety, privacy or a lawful investigation.
